My first job after graduating as engineer was at Allgon AB. There were many colleagues in the same age as me, and the team spirit of this company was really something extraordinary.

Some time during the first year (2001), I was asked whether I would like to join a company band. The idea was to make some sort of surprise entry and play a couple of songs, at a company party. There was an unoccupied room in the executive leadership building, we got to use this as rehearsal room.

I realized quite quickly that everyone had strong personalities. Some had played in a band before, some had not. Our rehearsals were rather chaotic, but fun. After the company party, we were asked to play again. And again, and again…

People starting asking us to play at birthday parties, marriages, even other companies’ parties, the rumour spread out naturally and so we just kept on. Sometimes we played for free, staying over in very simple conditions – like, all of us on a couple of sports’ matresses. Sometimes we had luxurious circumstances with nice country-side locations, or in central town of Stockholm – Gondolen, Munchenbryggeriet, Cedergrenska tornet, Finansdepartementet, Borgila, Riddarhuset, the list is now long…

Eventually, Allgon was bought by another company, and in effect destroyed, and we were gradually spread out in different companies. But we kept on anyway, changing name from Allgonz to AllGone… I estimate that I have been part of 40ish gigs (?) Since we are many band members, not everyone has to join each time, some has played a lot more than that. But I think we all agree that when we are the full band together, we are at our best.

Our rehearsals are few, but still chaotic. But with the experience we now have together, things usually sort out live anyway… 🙂

Snapshots from a couple of phone recordings I have received.

I got to guest sing on Rikards vocal parts on Thunderstruck 😀 A different vocal side that I don’t do very often, but it was fun!
